SLP Logo Competition 2022

75 years and counting! Do you dabble in design or drawing? Have a penchant for painting? Find satisfaction in sketching? Then we need your help!

2023 marks the 75th anniversary of the Stevenage Lytton Players. We have a brand new website, and need a new identity to reflect our ever-changing dynamic. We’re looking for a fresh, new logo to use on all of our promotional materials, both digital and physical.

The competition is open to everyone*, and the winner will see their design used on all of our posters, programmes, signage, documents and merchandise.Deadline for submissions is 31st August 2022.

Your submission (or submissions – you can enter as many times as you like) can be in a digital format (sent to logo2022@lyttonplayers.co.uk) or a physical drawing/sketch. The winning design will be revealed at our AGM in September 2022, and we’ll work with the winner to bring their design to life! *except those judging, obviously

What are we looking for?

Designs should be SMART:

Simple – The design should look equally good on the web and on print material, and be accessible to all.

Memorable – The design should capture the viewer’s attention and leave a positive impression.

Appropriate – The design should be relevant to the Stevenage Lytton Players and in-line with what we stand for: bringing the community together through performing arts.

Resizable – The design should be simple enough to be able to be scaled down or up and still look good

Timeless – We’ve had our current identity for almost as long as we’ve been in existence. Will your design still be relevant in another 75 years?

Don’t hold back, we want to see something fun and creative. Feel free to come up with something unique and think outside the box!

Prize (yes, there’s more!)As well as seeing their winning design appear on all marketing material, social media, website and merchandise, the winner will also receive a complimentary ticket to each in-house show for the 2022-23 season.Full details (and rules) of the competition are available in this PDF. As always, if you have any questions, please do get in touch. I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
