Dave Slade

This is Dave’s seventh production at the Gordon Craig Theatre.  His previous productions have been Son Of The Mechano, Panda (both Lytton Youth Revues), BASH (he directed the “English” side of this co-production with a group from Kadoma Zimbabwe), Chess, Sweeney Todd and Hello Dolly (all three with the Lytton Theatre).

He has also directed in-house plays and musicals for Herts Operatic & Dramatic Society, Mimram Productions, The Phoenix Players and The Buntingford Players. His directing CV is diverse including A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Murder In The Cathedral, Cabaret, Assassins, Macbeth, Little Shop Of Horrors, Romeo & Juliet, Godspell, Grimm Tales and Bertolt Brecht’s Antigone.

He last trod the boards as Inspector Goole in the Lytton Players highly acclaimed production of An Inspector Calls.

Dave also runs the Lytton Youth Theatre and is one of the managing directors of Stagefrights Theatre Club Ltd. Dave has directed three independent films, used to write for, among others, Spitting Image and one of his sketches was in the top 100 favourite comedy sketches of all time.

He lives in Stevenage with an imaginary partner who recently left him.
