Synopsis
Intelligent. Ambitious. Dangerous! Henrik Ibsen's iconic hit of a play 'Hedda Gabler' sees a woman of perverted femininity 'trapped like a bird' by a stifling 19th century society. Too frightened of disgrace to become involved with a brilliant, wayward writer, she opts for a conventional but loveless marriage in the hope of vicariously finding satisfaction through her husband’s career.

'Still not free' Hedda attempts to take back control over her life in the only way she can. The people around her are merely chess pieces in a game of manipulation but how far exactly can a woman go before destroying her aristocratic profile and creating the one thing that Hedda is most afraid of... scandal!

Blending comedy and tragedy disconcertingly together, Ibsen probes thwarted aspirations and hidden anxieties of his characters against a background of social conditions and attitudes, still relevant today.
