The Lytton Theatre is now Closed

Why, what's happening?
Information extracted from the Stevenage Lytton Players Monthly Update, December 2020.

As you read this, Hertfordshire has left "Lockdown 2" and entered Tier 2 of the government's new coronavirus strategy.

What does this mean for us?
Put simply, we cannot realistically re-open this year.

The tiers are being reviewed again on 16th December, which - even if we get downgraded to Tier 1 - means that we'd only have a week of rehearsals before closing down again for the Christmas break. It's with this in mind that we've had to make the difficult decision to remain closed until January at the earliest.

Of course, this will have an impact on our rehearsal schedule for Lights Up!. In order to be able to rehearse effectively to put on a great show, Louise and Dave (Variety Rep and Director, respectively) have had to postpone performances to March 2021. More details to come.
